St Michael's Hall

St Michael's Hall (or the community hall) is the hub of the community.  It was built in 1947 as part of the "Muintir na Tíre" initiative.  It has its own theatre where the West Waterford Drama Festival is held every March.  Also "The Booley House" plays here every Wednesday night during the months of July and August and is enjoyed by visitors from all over the world.

The village has 4 pubs,  2 hair salons, a grocery store, health clinic, St Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael's Hall, the Millennium Sports Hall, Blackwater Lodge Guesthouse & Salmon Fishery, and a former Garda barracks.
